Evictions prevention is one of the key aspects of the Prevention typology. As "a form of early intervention and housing stability", evictions prevention is defined as:
a range of strategies and program interventions designed to keep individuals and families at (imminent) risk of eviction in their homes with tenure and thereby help them avoid entering into homelessness. (Gaetz & Dej, 2016)
