Jaden was accepted in a HF4Y program about two months ago. During that time, he signed a lease for a studio apartment and is receiving a rent subsidy, but he’s frequently late paying his portion of the rent. Jaden’s case manager is worried that he’ll be evicted. Jaden hasn’t shared that he is concerned.
The case manager talks to a friend who does renovations. She gets a few leads on work doing odd jobs and lets Jaden know that he has a job for him if he wants it. The worker has gone to talk to Jaden’s landlord to let him know that she’s working with Jaden and promises that she’ll make sure he’ll pay the rent on time.
How is the case manager supporting Jaden to build skills?
